Clare County Man Arrested for Stealing ATV

A Clare County man is in jail this morning for breaking into a home and stealing an ATV.

Clare County deputies were called to a home in Garfield Township Wednesday, for the break-in.

An 18 year old, from Lake, is accused of stealing a four-wheeler from the home.

After investigating, deputies say the Lake man was later confronted at his home by the 73 year old whose ATV was stolen. He then fired off shots. Shortly after, deputies arrested the lake man.

The incident remains under investigation, and charges are now being sought for the man with the gun.
