NCF 2013: Inter-Generational Picnic

Posted: Updated:

Generations of people came out for an all-American picnic at the National Cherry Festival today.

The Inter-Generational Picnic at the Grand Traverse Pavilions meant free music, food, and information about how to catch free movies and other events around town.

This is the 14th year for the picnic.

Organizers say this event takes plenty of planning, but all of the hard work is always worth it.

Usually the picnic brings in more than 1,000 people, but today's somewhat wet and cool did not put a damper on the fun for the more than 500 who showed up.
