Petoskey Fireworks Fundraising Falls Short

Posted: Updated:

Petoskey is trying to keep their fireworks display from going up in smoke.

Right now, the fireworks fund is only around three-quarters of what it needs to be to keep the show going.

The cash shortage will not impact the fireworks display in Petoskey this year, but could have an impact next year.

The Stars and Stripes Committee is still hoping to raise around $6,500.

You can drop off donations at the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce, or place donations in various canisters throughout town.

A crew will also be collecting donations during the 4th of July parade.
