Businesses Prep for National Cherry Festival

Posted: Updated:

Hundreds of thousands of people will descend on Traverse City this weekend flooding the festival grounds but surely making their way downtown.

That will create big business for shops and restaurants throughout the city.

Cafes on Front Street, like Brew, will take advantage of the foot traffic while shops like M-22 and Cherry Republic have keepsakes waiting for visitors to take home.

It's the biggest festival of the year for Traverse City and a week businesses plan for the entire year.

9&10 News' Eric Lloyd and photojournalist Mason Flick were in downtown Traverse City today and have more details.
