MTM On The Road: Small Business Making Big Impact on Global Scale

Each year, dozens of business around the region are considered for the title of "Small Business of  The Year." The Traverse City Chamber of Commerce presents the Hagerty award each spring to the winner.

For 2013 the title holder is Kalkaska Screw Products, a manufacturer creating crucial parts for the automotive and safety industry.

During the recession the company was hit hard, dwindling down to 16 employees, today they have nearly 70 working around the clock for the millions of parts they ship each month.

Kalin and Stephanie visited this morning to learn about why they are this year's winners.
