After 10 years of planning, the new and improved Clinch Park opened to the public today at the official ribbon cutting ceremony.

This phase of waterfront development cost the city $3 million.

The high price tag meant the renovations needed to ensure locals and tourists alike would want to spend a lot of time at the park.

A new water play area named for former Governor Milliken and the renovated tunnel seemed to be popular features of the morning.

9 and 10's Marisa McKay and Jeremy Erickson were at Clinch Park this morning to see how the dollars and the digging has paid off.
