Feedback at 5:00: Drug and Alcohol Testing

Posted: Updated:

High school students in one New Jersey school system could face a different kind of testing when they come back to class.

The Demarest and Old Tappan High Schools say students could undergo random alcohol and drug testing.

Students would not be suspended and the results would not go on their records, but they could lose school privileges and be forced to undergo counseling if they test positive.

Parents protested, saying there is not enough proof of this kind of policy to reduce drug use.

For tonight's Feedback at 5:00, do you think northern  Michigan high schools should do this kind of testing?
