UPDATE: Police Arrest Man For Grand Traverse Co. Stabbing

We now know the name of the man accused in a stabbing. 

The stabbing happened at a home on Cherry Lane Drive in Long Lake Township early Saturday morning.

Clifton Humphrey was arrested and charged with assault and battery and attempted homicide.

Police say Humphrey stabbed another man in his stomach and leg.

The victim was taken to Munson Medical Center where he remains in fair condition.

Police are currently investigating a Grand Traverse County stabbing.

The incident happened just before 2:00 a.m. this morning at the 7100 block of Cherry Lane Dr in Long Lake Township.

Police say 2 men got into a fight and a 36-year-old man from Traverse City stabbed a 21-year-old man from Traverse City.

The suspect then fled the scene in a car, but was later found and arrested.

The victim was taken to Munson Medical Center, police say he was stabbed in his stomach and leg and is now in fair condition.

Detectives are still interviewing witnesses and investigating the situation.

    Breaking news tonight, 9&10 News learned convicted murderer Eric Knysz tried to hang himself in prison. We have confirmed Knysz is now on life support. Knysz was just sentenced last week to life in prison
    UPDATE: 9 & 10 News has just confirmed that convicted murderer Eric Knysz has been declared brain dead.

    Knysz was on life support after the suicide attempt that took place Monday afternoon.
