UPDATE: 2 Men Charged For Assault Outside Whiting Hotel

New developments in the case against two men who police say attacked two others at the Whiting Hotel.

The pair is accused of beating two people outside the Whiting Hotel in Traverse City last Friday morning.
 
Casey Brown is now charged with one felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon. 

He's accused of using a baseball bat in the beatings.

Matthew Brown was also charged with misdemeanor assault and battery, and malicious destruction of a building.

Both men will be back in court in July.

Two men accused of attacking two others at the Whiting Hotel will be charged tomorrow.

The two suspects jumped two men outside of the hotel on Front Street in downtown Traverse City early Friday morning.

Police arrested the men for beating the victims with a baseball bat.

One was out on bond from another incident, so that bond has been revoked.

The younger of the suspects faces 2 misdemeanors: assault and battery, and malicious destruction of property. 

Both are scheduled to appear in the 86th District Court tomorrow morning.

Early this morning, a fight broke out in front of the Whiting Hotel in downtown Traverse City.

Two men are now behind bars for their part in the incident. The two victims say they were jumped on the Front Street entrance to the hotel while they were smoking a cigarette.

The fight left a glass door broken and the victims' faces covered in cuts and bruises.
