Meth Dangers In Populated Areas

Posted: Updated:

A meth lab discovered in a busy apartment complex demonstrates a serious danger to people who live nearby.

Residents may not know it, but some of the dangers may linger on.

According to Michigan State Police, the vapors and fumes from a meth lab can cross into the ventilation system and could easily pass into adjacent apartments.

MSP says the close proximity to each other also magnifies the destructive effect of a meth lab, which can include fires or explosions.

If you find out you live near a meth lab after a police investigation and are concerned for your health, you can call an environmental consulting firm to test for contaminants and clean up.
