The Mecosta-Osceola Intermediate School District says the plan would slowly integrate special needs students into the general education classroom keeping up with state and national trends.

Some parents say their special needs students are being pushed aside to save money.

Right now, special needs middle school students would bus to other districts to take the classes they need.

The new plan would allow students to stay at their natural district and slowly integrate into the general population.

Some parents don't think students are ready.

9&10's Eric Lloyd sat down with both sides of the plan and has more details.
