Local Business Donates to Missaukee County Sheriffs Dept.

Posted: Updated:

The Missaukee County Sheriffs Department received some much needed equipment from a local business.

Avon Protection of Cadillac donated 16 FM air purified respirators or gas masks. The company specializes in respiratory protection system technology.

The new masks will replace more than 30-year old masks and can be used in a number of chemical environments.

The masks cost about $800 a piece.

According to the sheriffs department, there is a definite need for the masks and the department is very gracious for the donation.

The Missaukee County Sheriffs Department has already received the masks and plan to have training on how to use them in the coming weeks.
