UPDATE: Man Charged for Resisting Arrest After Fleeing Police in Cadillac

Brandon Schryer was arrested in Cadillac yesterday after police showed up to his apartment, and he took off running.

Police planned to arrest Schryer on a warrant for violating his parole for use and possession of a controlled substance, and not checking in with his parole officer.

Schryer was originally arrested for stealing.

Police later found a meth lab, and an improvised explosive device in the Cadillac Shores apartment.

Today Schryer was charged with resisting arrest.

UPDATE: We have brand new details on the latest meth lab discovered at the Cadillac Shores Apartment Complex.

Investigators tell 9&10 News they found a small IED, or improvised explosive device.

The Michigan State Police bomb squad was called in. They used a robot to safely remove it.

Police uncovered another meth lab in Wexford County today, this time in a Cadillac apartment.

It is the fifth meth lab uncovered in the county since Saturday.

Within the city of Cadillac, it's the third in the last few days.

Police found the meth lab at the Cadillac Shores apartment complex, after city police went to there this morning to question a man about a separate issue.

Before TNT, Cadillac police, MSP, and the Seventh District Meth Team dismantled the one-pot meth lab and meth-making components they made sure to keep nearby neighbors out of harm's way by evacuating the adjacent apartments.

9 & 10's Meredith Barack and photojournalist Jeff Blakeman spoke with neighbors who say knowing a meth lab is a few doors down, is scary.

Just in to the 9&10 newsroom, a foot chase in Cadillac turned into yet another meth lab arrest.

City police went to Cadillac Shores this morning to question a man about unrelated issues.

When they arrived, the 32 year old took off running.

Officers eventually arrested him near Pearl Street.

When officers went back to the apartment, a woman there alerted them to the meth lab.

Police are on the scene right now waiting for the Traverse Narcotics Team to show up.

Others who live in the building have been asked to evacuate, and police expect it to be several hours before they can return.
