Police Uncover Credit Card Scam in Isabella County

Police in Mount Pleasant have uncovered a new credit card scam making its way around town and Isabella county.

According to police, customer card information is taken from local businesses computer systems and then used illegally around the world.

Police do not believe the scam to be based here, but urge caution when using electronic payment methods.

Crystal Computer Support in Mount Pleasant says there are precautions businesses can take to prevent fraud from occurring.

9 & 10's Meredith Barack and photojournalist Jeff Blakeman spoke to them, and a local business about preventing cyber-attackers from striking.
