Some Leelanau County business leaders are up in arms.
The County Commission decided to abolish their Economic Development Corporation last month. They also rejected a growth plan with Grand Traverse County.
At the meeting, commissioners said Leelanau County is wealthy enough already.
They added they don't want growth and it's up to people to find their own jobs and businesses to make their own plans.
Others believe the vote could send the message that the county is closed for business.
