Cocaine Found in Car During Traffic Stop in Manistee County

Michigan State Police arrested two downstate men for speeding and outstanding warrants in Manistee County.

MSP pulled the car over on M-115 near Thompsonville because they were traveling at 75 mph in a 55 mph zone.

The driver had a suspended license and was on federal parole for a prior drug crime.

Troopers found 45 grams of cocaine, marijuana and $1,300 in the vehicle.

Both suspects from Saginaw and now being held in the Manistee County Jail for possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.

    The National Guard at Camp Grayling reports that a 155-millimeter Howitzer cannon was accidentally released from a Chinook helicopter and fell about 700 feet to the ground. Nobody was hurt in the accident.
