UPDATE: Traffic Stop Led to Meth Lab in Car and House in Wexford County

A traffic stop in Wexford county tipped off State Police to a nearby meth lab in Antioch Township near M-115.

Police first knew something was up when they pulled over the Mesick man Saturday afternoon.

They say Kenneth Rathbone was driving under the influence of drugs.

State Police found a one pot meth lab and several components used to make the drug.

The Traverse Narcotics Team was called in to clean up the scene.

The driver will soon be formally charged.

In this update, the Michigan State Police say more meth was found at home following a traffic stop.

Detectives from the Traverse Narcotics Team searched a home in Springville Township, Wexford County after MSP pulled over a man with meth in his car.

Chemicals, components and additional evidence was found at the house to cook meth.

TNT says a 43-year-old Mesick man is already in jail and will request additional charges soon.

The car was pulled over just before 3:00 Saturday in Wexford County's Antioch Township, near M-115 and 19 Road.

Michigan State Police from the Cadillac Post and the Traverse Narcotics Team say they dismantled a one pot meth lab and found several components used to manufacture meth in the car.

Troopers say the 43-year-old Mesick man was driving under the influence of drugs.
