Child Protection Agencies Share Early Warning Signs of Child Abuse

Posted: Updated:

Today, shock and disbelief are echoing through one Missaukee County community as details of 14-month-old Payton Disbrow's death are coming to light.

Investigators say he was abused for months before he died.

Yesterday, prosecutors charged his mother, Brittani Grabon from McBain with murdering Payton.

His lifeless body was brought to the hospital back on December 18, 2012.

A medical examiner has ruled his death was a homicide and the sheriff says the boy was severely abused for months.

Brittani Grabon will be back in court in 2 weeks for a preliminary examination.
