A mother arrested and charged for the death of her baby in Missaukee County.

Brittani Grabon from McBain was arrested and charged with murder for the death of her 14-month-old son.

Grabon remains in jail on a $1 million bond. She will be back in court in 2 weeks for a preliminary examination.

Police say Payton Disbrow was beaten to death just before Christmas of last year.

The Missaukee County Sheriff gave a detailed description of the infant's autopsy results which was just released.

Sheriff Bosscher said, "back on December 18th of 2012, 14-month-old Payton Disbrow was brought to Mercy Hospital in Cadillac apparently dead before he arrived at the hospital."

Nearly 5 months after that day and long hours of intense work, police were finally able to make an arrest with the release of Payton Disbrow's autopsy.
