Grand Traverse Man Charged with Child Abuse

Posted: Updated:

A Grand Traverse county man accused of hitting his child is now charged with child abuse.

Court records show David Orwin's child showed up to elementary school last week with marks on the their face, as if someone had hit the child.

The teacher noticed, and the school called Child Protective Services, and police.

The school went into secure mode, but TCAPS says no one was in danger.

Orwin is out on bond, but not allowed near the child.
