6 People from Michigan Killed in Plane Crash in Afghanistan

We are learning more today about the plane crash that killed 7 people in Afghanistan.

All but one were from Michigan.

Yesterday, a Detroit area man identified his brother, Brad Hasler of Trenton, as one of the people who died.

Hasler was the pilot in charge and was just married two weeks ago.

The cargo plane crashed just after takeoff Monday.

A Detroit area man has identified his brother as 1 of the 5 Michigan people killed in an Afghanistan plan crash.

5 of the 7 people on the plane were from Michigan.

Only Brad Hasler has been named.

The flight was destined for Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.


Five people from Michigan have died in Afghanistan.

They were among seven people killed when a civilian plane crashed Monday after taking off from Bagram Air Field.

Four pilots, two mechanics and a load master were on board.

An official from Orlando-based National Airlines says the plane was carrying people, vehicles and other cargo when it went down.

Families of the victims have been told -- but names have not been released.
