Posted: Updated:

Police have determined that John Stopa's death was an accident.

Stopa suffered a heart attack, before falling into the water and drowning.

He was found by the water on North West Torch Lake Drive in Kewadin earlier last week.

Family members found the body of an Antrim county man in the water around 1:45 Sunday afternoon.

Deputies say John Stopa was working down by the water on North West Torch Lake Drive in Kewadin, raking and picking up the beach area.

His death is being looked at as a possible drowning.

A medical examiner will do an autopsy to determine exactly how he died.
