Posted: Updated:

A man accused of leading a DNR officer on a 22-mile chase in Grand Traverse county is charged with the crime.

Deputies say when the DNR officer caught up with Jared Kaltenbach on a two track, he told the officer he had an outstanding warrant, and shortly after he asked him to pull on to the main road, he took off.

Court records show Kaltenbach crashed into a patrol car and ran.

He later turned himself into police.
