My North Ticket Minute: Good Drama

Posted: Updated:

Have you seen this sunshine Northern Michigan? Time to break out of hibernation and get downtown.

Next week, The Leland Performing Arts Center presents Into The Woods. It's not your traditional fairy tale, but combines old Grimm classics that surround the plot of a baker and wife longing for a child. Will you leave entertained? Absolutely. Happy? They're called Grimm for a reason.

That same week, Old Town Playhouse puts on Oscar Wilde's An Ideal Husband. You'll get your share of scandal, satire and endless drama in this 1895 original. Opening night is May 3rd.

And for a real tradition of the region-The Rotary clubs of Traverse City present their 71st Annual Rotary Show. The antics all take place here at the Lars Hockstad Auditorium at Central Elementary, Wednesday through Saturday. Funds go directly to the service activities of the club boards.
