Heavy Rain Causing Sewer Problems in Roscommon

Posted: Updated:

Tons of water is creating sewer problems in the Village of Roscommon.

According to the Village Manager, the water from the recent rain is running into the sanitary sewer system, which could cause sewer backups for residents.

The Department of Public Works says they have a good handle on the problem right now and don't expect it to get worse unless more rain hits the area.

Residents in the Village of Roscommon are concerned, but hope dry weather will bring relief.

The Village of Roscommon is asking everyone to conserve water to keep from overwhelming the system more than it already is.
