Hook and Hunting: Excessive Rain is Good for Fish

Posted: Updated:

That's right, all this rain is definitely good for a few reasons.

One in particular, the fish.

With higher water levels, fish have more room to swim around and move to areas where they couldn't get to before.

It also means that the water flowing through the rivers and streams will deliver more nutrients into Lake Michigan, which means helping those historically low water levels rise.

The rising water levels are consistently causing problems for anglers because the fish are spreading out to more areas where fishermen can't get to.
