My North Ticket Minute: Stay-cations

Posted: Updated:

If you're getting the itch for travel, here's a few ways to scratch on a budget in this week's MyNorthTickets Minute:

You can jet off to New York all  while never leaving Michigan. Get out to the Ramsdell later this month for a live, HD showing  of the Metropolitan Opera's current production, Handel's Guilo Cesare. That's Saturday, April 27.

And after you journey east, you might as well cross the pond. On Tuesday, April 30th, Burritt's Tasting Room hosts Springtime in France.  You can meet Traverse Magazine's own food and wine editor, Tim Tebeau, while enjoying the specialty pairings from the kitchen.

But like any vacation, the best place to return is home. That's why you'll want to be here at The Box in Traverse City for a real Northern Michigan tradition-the cooking how-to on white tail venison.  If you're looking to expand your repertoire of recipes, this spacious, simple and modern venue is the place to do it. It's Thursday the 25th.
