A local dispatch center is opening their doors as they celebrate their 20th anniversary and National Public Safety Telecommunications week.
In 1993, Mecosta and Osceola counties merged their dispatch centers into Meceola Central Dispatch in Paris.
This afternoon they held an open house to allow the public see their job.
To see the people behind the phone.
Everything has been overhauled since their first 911 call 20 years ago and because of that, everyone's safer and responders are quicker.
If you'd like to check out the dispatch center, the open house continues tomorrow night from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
