Community Raises Money for High Schooler with Cancer

Posted: Updated:

Hundreds of people in one Northern Michigan community came together to help raise money for a high school student battling cancer.

Nathan Compo was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in February.

Over the last couple months Nathan has seen an outpouring of support from the Roscommon community.

Dave Smith's Barber Shop collected $1,600 from a hair cut fundraiser earlier this month. Also a Roscommon High School teacher raised $3,300 before shaving her head.

Nathan will be going to Traverse City on Monday for a week long chemotherapy treatment.

9&10's Katie Boomgaard was at a fundraiser today and has more on the support.
