UPDATE: Mason County Man Sentenced for Kidnapping, Now Faces Embezzlement Charges

A man accused of taking his children to Florida without their mother's permission has been charged with more crimes.

Mark McCallum was in circuit court today in Ludington in Mason county.

He pleaded guilty to 2 charges of embezzlement.

A third charge of home invasion was dropped, but he still has to pay restitution.

McCallum's accused of stealing a car and other items.

He'll return to court in June.

A Mason County man who took his children to Florida without their mother's permission is going to prison.

Mark McCallum was sentenced yesterday to 28 months to 15 years in prison for parental kidnapping.

Prosecutors say he took his children to Florida while going through a divorce in February of 2012.

They were later found safe.

McCallum defended himself in the trial.
