Pine River Schools have to cut more than a million dollars from their budget. Last night, they held an open forum for people to bring their ideas.
The public brought up a lot of suggestions including eliminating certain administrative positions, teachers, athletics, and even closing some buildings.
The district has lost 141 students over the last three years, and anticipate losing another 23 this fall.
Those numbers will force school officials to make some tough decisions.
The school board will announce their final decision on what gets cut at their May 13 meeting.
