Clare County Deputies Searching for Stolen Tools

Posted: Updated:

Thousands of dollars worth of items stolen in Clare County, and deputies are looking clues to solving the break in.

Early Monday morning thieves took off with nearly $5,000 worth of tools from a construction trailer parked in the town of Lake.

Neighbors say they heard some banging around three that morning.

Police say the tools were large and heavy, not things a person could easily walk off with alone.

The undersheriff says it isn't common but can be a crime of opportunity for those desperate enough.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of the tools or the theft, please call the Clare County Sheriff's Office at 989-539-7166.
