Feedback at 5:00: Quitting Smoking

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is kicking off a new anti-smoking campaign to help smokers kick the habit.

The CDC hopes "tips from former smokers" will save lives, save money, and reduce the suffering caused by smoking.

The CDC says tobacco is the leading preventable cause of death in the United States.

It impacts 8 million people and triggers 200 million dollars a year in health care costs.

Around 1,200 people die from tobacco use every day.
