Northern Michigan Housing Market Continues to Improve

Posted: Updated:

Things are looking up for the housing market here in northern Michigan.

Realtors say sales are on the rise, despite a reduction of inventory.

At Premier Realty in Cadillac, they say the number of home sales are going up and prices are now beginning to stabilize.

They tell us the quality of homes on the market has improved, and the number of foreclosures are beginning to drop.

They anticipate seeing this trend occurring even more come spring time.

They say they also anticipate to make more second home and lakefront property sales this spring.

Realtors say they anticipate the market being back to what it was before the recession in 2017.

9 & 10's Meredith Barack and photojournalist Jeff Blakeman spoke with one realtor about his outlook as the industry continues to recover.
