Cadillac falls in State Semifinals to Detroit Country Day

The whole Cadillac community pumped up about it's first Final Four appearance in almost 100 years.  But Detroit Country Day got off to a 14-2 start and never looked back.

Nick Paquet tried to keep Cadillac in it. He led the Vikings with 18 but the Yellowjackets ended Cadillac's season 73-42 in the Class B State Semifinal on Friday at the Breslin Center.

"It was a great experience I mean it's just cool to be down here I mean we've worker so hard and this is kind of what we aim for, and we just kind of came in not knowing what to expect, but we gave it our all and that's the end of our season," said senior Matthew Adams.

"Obviously we have no track record for being here.  I had to ask Country Day's coaches where do you get the press passes and do we get to go out and shoot?  I mean we didn't know anything down here I mean we were total rookies and at times we played like it.  But other times we played like we play.  Within Northern Michigan we have a name as a pretty good program and we're proud of that.  But stretching out across the state, we've got a ways to go,  and this is a good experience to give us an idea of what it's about," said head coach Jeff McDonald.
