Charlevoix Schools Looks at Ways to Cut Costs, Considers Eliminating One School Building

Posted: Updated:

Charlevoix Public Schools is looking at ways to trim $1-million worth of costs.

The school board is considering two plans, both of which include cuts, and will result in larger class sizes.

One option includes going from a three building district, down to two, saving around $200,000.

If approved K-6 grade will be in one building, and 7-12 in another.

The school board is expected to make a decision at a 6:00 p.m., meeting Monday at the Middle School.
