Today, the state Senate approved a bill that will provide grant money to two Grand Traverse County projects.
Grand Traverse County will receive $199,00 for the development of the Buffalo Ridge Trail in Garfield Township and $2,073,000 for the Timbers Recreation Area in Long Lake Township.
The money will come from royalties paid on the sale and lease of state owned mineral rights.
