A northern Michigan community pulled out all the stops for a soldier's homecoming after he spent year in Afghanistan.

First Lieutenant Ronnie Burns was celebrated in the city of Clare in Clare County on Wednesday.

He was presented the key to the city by the Mayor and given a fire truck and police escort to Taco Bell-KFC where he worked before he was deployed.

Dozens of people attended the event and showed their appreciation for his service.

The lieutenant will spend the rest of the month with family before returning to work at Taco Bell-KFC on April first.
