A Northern Michigan community came together and raised money to bring a soldier home for a proper burial.
Adam Mcbee was found dead Wednesday morning at his home in Boyne City. He was just 27-years-old when he died. Adam served in the U.S. Army from 2005 until 2007 in Iraq. His team leader says he suffered from post traumatic stress disorder.
His body was taken to Grand Rapids for an autopsy. When the Army wouldn't help with his funeral, the community stepped in and raised more than $5,000 to bring Adam's body home to Boyne City.
9&10's Katie Boomgaard talked with friends about Adam and how important it is to give him a send off the community can be proud of.
