TCAPS Announces Administrative Changes, Reorganization

Traverse City Area Public Schools is reorganizing their administration, in an effort to focus more on students' individual learning.

TCAPS Superintendent announced the administrative changes today - which will take effect July 1st.

The district will be adding a Chief of Schools Officer, Sander Scott, who will work with principals in the district to help with school improvement.

They'll also be eliminating two positions - an administrative assistant and the Director of Professional Development.

By making these changes, TCAPS estimates they'll be saving about 45,000 dollars.
