Feedback at 5:00: Cellular Web Surfing

Posted: Updated:

Cell phones have changed the way we talk, e-mail, and surf the web, and it's now beginning at a much younger age.

A new report from the Pew Internet and American Life Project finds that 78% of young people, ages 12 to 17, have cell phones.

Nearly half of those are smartphones.

That's having a big effect on how, and where many young people are accessing the web.

The survey finds about 25% of young people say the are "cell-mostly" internet users, but just 15% of adults said they access the internet mostly by cell phone.

Do you access the web more on your phone, or on your PC?

It's tonight's "Feedback at 5:00."
