Free Clinic Opens in Ogemaw County

Posted: Updated:

A new free clinic opened its doors today in Ogemaw County with the hope of improving the health of the community.

The Ogemaw Hills Free Clinic is in West Branch.

It will be open every Tuesday, and offers basic medical services to the un-insured.

The clinic has partnered with West Branch Regional Medical Center, which will allow them to offer X-Rays, lab work, and EKG's to patients. They will not write prescriptions for controlled narcotics or distribute prescriptions.

The clinic is only available to Ogemaw County residents.

They hope to be able to help those in other counties in the future.

9 & 10's Meredith Barack and photojournalist Tony Zyber have more on what the clinic will offer.
