Four Osceola County townships have filed a lawsuit against the county Board of Commissioners.
Burdell, Sherman, LeRoy and Rose Lake Townships say they believe the county is discriminating against them by approving plans to build a new ambulance barn in Marion instead of a site more centrally located between Tustin and Marion.
Osceola County has ambulances stationed in Reed City, Evart and Marion leaving the northwest corner of the county miles from the nearest ambulance station.
The four townships hope to even out the coverage area.
A hearing on the lawsuit was scheduled for this afternoon but was then postponed until April 9th.
