MTM On The Road: St. Baldrick's Shaving Heads for a Great Cause

Posted: Updated:

In 1999 a group of friends decided to collect money and shave their heads if they reached their goal. All of the money would be donated to fighting childhood cancers.

Year later and more than 100-million dollars raised, St. Baldrick's is one of the most well known foundations in the world.

Today, the TC Metro Fire Department and Northflight EMS are hosting their annual event at Sledder's in Traverse City. In the past 2 years the departments have raised more than $25,000 for the foundation.

Kalin and Stephanie were live this morning in Traverse with a group of firefighters getting excited about the event.
