Demolition Begins on Hotel Indigo Project

Posted: Updated:

A project that's been talked about for about two years, finally took the first steps today.

The demolition of the area where the new Hotel Indigo will sit began this morning.

It's a project that will add more than 100 hotel rooms, a conference room, a cafe, and a rooftop bar to the Warehouse District in Downtown Traverse City.

The new addition is something that the Downtown Development Authority hopes will help refresh the District.

Developers are hoping to host a Hotel Indigo groundbreaking ceremony in early April.
