Community Helps Loving Friend Who's Battling Cancer for Second Time

Posted: Updated:

A community came together today to help a loving friend through a hard time.

Jean Sewell from Lake is battling cancer for the second time in one year. She was diagnosed with Colon Cancer but it has recently spread to other areas of her body.

Her family and friends are trying to help her one day at a time. Today the community put on a spaghetti benefit dinner at the Lake Eagles Event Hall.

At the benefit they also had a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds will help Jean with her medical expenses.
