Five HS Girls Basketball Teams Win Regional Titles

Eight Northern Michigan high school girls basketball teams played in the Regional Finals Thursday night.  Five teams advanced to the State Quarterfinal:

Class B:

Clare 51, Muskegon Oakridge 34

Pioneers advance to the Class B State Quarterfinal 7pm Tuesday at Houghton Lake vs. Midland Bullock Creek.

Class C:

Shelby 55, Traverse City St. Francis 35

Tigers advance to the Class C State Quarterfinal 7pm Tuesday at Petoskey vs. Houghton.

Class D:

Gaylord St. Mary 39, Bear Lake 23

Snowbirds advance to the Class D State Quarterfinal 7pm Tuesday at Reed City vs. Climax-Scotts

Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart 59, Deckerville 16

Irish advance to the Class D State Quarterfinal 7pm Tuesday at Waterford Mott vs. Waterford Our Lady.

St. Ignace 74, Posen 68

Saints advance to the Class D State Quarterfinal 7pm Tuesday at Escanaba vs. Crystal Falls Forest Park
