Tree Tapping Begins As Maple Syrup Season Nears

Northern Michigan maple syrup producers are frantically tapping their trees in hopes of a better season.

The recent warm up has maple syrup producers anxious to get to work. They've been busy tapping trees for the last several days in preparation for the weekend.

Maple syrup producers are hoping for an early start and longer season this year.

The maple syrup season lasts about 2-3 weeks long.
