In a world of social media, many are used to pup up messages and wall posts on Facebook, or tweets alerting you to new messages on twitter.

But imagine getting a tweet from someone who isn't even alive.

It can actually happen thanks to some new social media tools.

Technology companies are making it possible for you to send a pre-written e-mail, Facebook status update, or Tweet after death.

Some are even coming up with ways to keep your twitter account active with regular updates that mimic your twitter personality after you die.

The founder of DeadSocial says, it's a social media savvy way for people to say their final goodbyes.
