Woman Steals Truck in Isabella County

Posted: Updated:

A Highland woman took advantage of a running car in Isabella County.

The 20 year old jumped in the warming truck while it sat in a man's driveway in Union Township.

The owner of the pickup found his car by a Burger King, but the driver got on U.S. 127 and headed south.

The man called police, saying the driver was reaching speeds of 100 miles per hour, before losing control and going airborne.

The truck slid through a fence and went into a ditch before hitting small trees and rolling several times.

The driver was thrown from the car and taken to the hospital before being flown to Saginaw for her injuries.
